I am regular reader of Hacker News. Hacker News announced the HN search competition for developers using their search api. You can also vote for HNSearch voting apps. I have checked few of them and i like HNTrend. HNTrend is showing graph of keywords from 2007 to 2011. You can search maximum 5 keywords in one time. HNTrend graph will show you how many times of keywords mentions by the hackers in hacker news site.

I did some analysis on technologies in Hacker News discussion website.These trends showing us the developers interest in technologies.

The number of IP4 address pool shrivels and eventually vanishes. IPv4 uses address space of 32 bit (4 byte) which limits the address space to 4,294,967,296 (2³²) possible unique addresses and it’s already exhausted. IPv6  uses 128 bit address and new address supports  2¹²⁸ ( 3.4×1038) addresses.

Codeigniter is released in two flavors.

(a) Codeigniter core – which will be used for large commercial product or anyone who want good MVC architecture for their backend support.

(b) Codeigniter Reactor – which is community driven branch of codeigniter where community will work on new improvement, bug fixes , documentation etc.
